Terms of Service
Please read these Terms carefully before using Azbaol Logistics. They govern your use of our platform as a client, rider, or visitor.
Plain-language summary
Use the platform legally and respectfully. Don't ship prohibited items. Pay for what you order. Riders are independent — not Azbaol employees. We cover up to ₦50k for rider-caused loss. Nigerian law governs.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Azbaol Logistics platform — including our website, mobile application, and API — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use our services. These terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and Azbaol Logistics Ltd, a company registered in Nigeria.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Azbaol Logistics. By using our platform, you represent that you meet this requirement. Riders must additionally hold a valid Nigerian driver's licence appropriate to their vehicle class and maintain valid insurance coverage.
3. Account Registration
3.1 Accurate Information
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and to keep this information up to date. Providing false information — including falsified ID documents — is grounds for immediate account termination and may result in legal action.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@azbaollogistics.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
3.3 One Account Per Person
Each natural person may hold only one client account and one rider account. Duplicate accounts may be suspended without notice.
4. Services
4.1 Platform Role
Azbaol Logistics operates a technology platform that connects clients (senders) with independent riders (deliverers). We are a marketplace, not a carrier. Riders are independent contractors, not employees of Azbaol Logistics.
4.2 Prohibited Items
You must not use our platform to ship: illegal substances or narcotics; weapons, firearms, or ammunition; live animals; human remains or body parts; counterfeit goods; hazardous chemicals or explosives; currency exceeding ₦500,000 per delivery; or any item prohibited by Nigerian law. Violations will result in immediate account termination and referral to law enforcement.
4.3 Service Availability
We strive for 99.5% platform uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service with reasonable notice.
5. Payments & Fees
5.1 Client Payments
Delivery fees are displayed before order confirmation and are processed via Paystack. By confirming an order, you authorise the charge. Fees are non-refundable once a rider has accepted and commenced the delivery, except where we determine the rider failed to complete delivery through their own fault.
5.2 Rider Earnings
Riders receive the fare less Azbaol's service commission (displayed in the rider app). Payouts are processed within 48 hours of delivery confirmation to the rider's registered bank account. Azbaol reserves the right to withhold earnings pending investigation of disputed deliveries or policy violations.
5.3 Cancellations
Clients may cancel an order without charge before a rider accepts it. Cancellations after rider acceptance may incur a cancellation fee of up to ₦500 to compensate the rider for travel time.
5.4 Disputes
Payment disputes must be raised within 7 days of the transaction via the app or at support@azbaollogistics.com. We will investigate and resolve within 14 business days.
6. Liability & Insurance
6.1 Loss or Damage
Azbaol Logistics offers basic coverage of up to ₦50,000 per delivery for loss or damage caused by verified rider negligence. This does not cover fragile items not declared at booking, perishables, or items prohibited under Section 4.2. Claims must be filed within 24 hours of the scheduled delivery time.
6.2 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, Azbaol Logistics' total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the platform shall not exceed the value of the disputed delivery or ₦100,000, whichever is lower. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
7. Conduct & Community Standards
All users must treat each other with respect. Harassment, discrimination, threats, or abusive behaviour toward any rider, client, or Azbaol staff member will result in immediate account suspension. Both parties are expected to be available and responsive during an active delivery. Repeatedly failing to be available at pickup or drop-off may lead to account restrictions.
8. Ratings & Reviews
After each delivery, clients and riders may rate each other. Ratings must reflect genuine experiences. Fraudulent or retaliatory reviews may be removed. Riders whose rating falls below 3.5 stars over 50 or more trips may have their accounts reviewed and potentially suspended.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Azbaol Logistics platform — including the name, logo, app design, and software — is the intellectual property of Azbaol Logistics Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time via the app settings. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for breach of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct that endangers other users. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Sections 6, 9, and 11 survive termination.
11. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally within 30 days shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria, under the rules of the Lagos Court of Arbitration, before either party initiates litigation.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email at least 14 days in advance. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
