Cookie Policy
This policy explains how Azbaol Logistics uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and app, and how you can control them.
Strictly Necessary
Essential for the platform to function. These include session authentication tokens, CSRF protection cookies, and load-balancer routing cookies. Without these, you cannot log in or complete a delivery.
az_sessionaz_csrfaz_lb_routePerformance & Analytics
Help us understand how users interact with the platform — which pages are visited most, where errors occur, and how long deliveries take. Data is aggregated and anonymised. We use a self-hosted analytics stack; no data is sent to Google Analytics.
az_analytics_idaz_perf_sessionFunctional
Remember your preferences such as language, saved addresses, notification settings, and whether you've dismissed onboarding prompts. Disabling these means the platform may not remember your settings between visits.
az_langaz_saved_addraz_notif_prefsMarketing & Retargeting
Used only with your explicit consent to show relevant Azbaol promotions on partner platforms. We do not share cookie data with advertising networks without your consent. These are off by default.
az_mkt_consentaz_referral_src1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use a web-based app. They allow the platform to recognise your device, remember preferences, and collect usage data. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and device fingerprinting — this policy covers all of them.
2. How We Use Cookies
Azbaol Logistics uses cookies to keep you logged in securely, protect against fraud and CSRF attacks, remember your delivery preferences, measure app performance, and — with your consent — show you relevant promotions. We do not use cookies to build profiles for sale to third parties.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some features embed third-party services that may set their own cookies: Paystack sets cookies to secure the payment flow; Google Maps sets cookies when rendering the delivery map; Twilio may set a session cookie for the in-app messaging feature. These third parties have their own privacy policies which we encourage you to review.
4. Cookie Duration
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until their expiry date or until you delete them. Our authentication cookie (az_session) expires after 30 days of inactivity. Analytics cookies expire after 12 months. Marketing cookies expire after 90 days.
5. Managing Your Preferences
You can manage cookie preferences at any time via the Cookie Settings panel in your account settings, or by clicking 'Manage Cookies' in the footer of any page. You may also delete cookies via your browser settings — most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies per domain. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from using the platform.
6. Do Not Track
We honour browser-level Do Not Track (DNT) signals. If your browser sends a DNT signal, we will not activate performance or marketing cookies, even if you previously consented, until you explicitly re-enable them.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as we introduce new features or in response to regulatory changes. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
