Azbaol Logistics Ltd ("Azbaol", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your information.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you register as a client or rider on Azbaol Logistics, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, password (hashed), and profile photo if provided. Riders additionally provide government-issued ID, vehicle details, and bank account information for payouts.
1.2 Transaction & Delivery Data
We collect pickup and drop-off addresses, parcel descriptions, delivery timestamps, pricing, payment method details (processed securely via Paystack — we never store raw card data), and delivery confirmation photos.
1.3 Location Data
With your explicit permission, we collect real-time GPS coordinates from riders while on an active delivery, and approximate location from clients to suggest nearby pickup points. You may withdraw location permission at any time via your device settings.
1.4 Device & Usage Data
We automatically collect device type, operating system, browser/app version, IP address, pages visited, and interaction events (button clicks, session duration). This helps us improve performance and detect fraud.
2. How We Use Your Information
2.1 Service Delivery
To match clients with available riders, track parcels in real time, process payments, send delivery notifications via SMS and email, and resolve disputes.
2.2 Safety & Fraud Prevention
To verify rider identities, monitor for fraudulent transactions, enforce our community standards, and respond to complaints or legal requests.
2.3 Product Improvement
Aggregated and anonymised usage data helps us improve route algorithms, app performance, and user experience. We do not sell individual user data to third parties.
2.4 Marketing
With your consent, we may send promotional emails about new features or offers. You can unsubscribe at any time from any marketing email or via your account settings.
3. Data Sharing
3.1 With Riders / Clients
Clients see a rider's first name, photo, vehicle type, and live location during an active delivery. Riders see a client's first name, phone number (masked until pickup confirmed), and delivery address.
3.2 Service Providers
We share data with trusted sub-processors including Paystack (payments), Google Maps (routing), Twilio (SMS notifications), and AWS (cloud infrastructure). All processors are bound by data processing agreements.
3.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose data when required by Nigerian law, court order, or regulatory authority. We will notify you of such requests where legally permitted.
4. Data Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active, plus 2 years after deletion for legal and audit purposes. Transaction records are retained for 7 years per Nigerian financial regulations. Location data from completed deliveries is anonymised after 90 days.
5. Your Rights
Under Nigeria's Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and applicable law, you have the right to: access a copy of your personal data; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention obligations); withdraw consent for location tracking or marketing at any time; and lodge a complaint with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).
6. Security
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest), regular penetration testing, and strict role-based access controls. Despite these measures, no system is entirely secure. Please contact security@azbaollogistics.com immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
7. Children's Privacy
Azbaol Logistics is not directed at persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
